What are volume wefts?
Volume wefts are machine sewn wefts that are triple wefted.
This means there is three layers discreetly stacked so they lay super flat, can be deconstructed and more for the ultimate customizations.
Each pack comes with a 30 inch piece and your rows are cut to fit so they are perfect every time.
Machine wefting uses a waterproof thread (Nylon) strongly secured and does not shed meaning it has a longer lifespan and can be reused over and over.
Bellami volume wefts are typically reserved for those with medium to thicker hair as they are the thickest wefts by weight than any other brand.
If you have thinner hair and want to try this method, please contact to see if you would be a good candidate.

How are they applied?
An experienced stylist will create beaded rows using copper silicone lined beads and then proceed to weave/sew the volume wefts to the beads and subsequently your natural hair.
Because silicone lined beads are used, and there are less points of contact than those with hundreds of beads/contact points and the hair is cushioned this method is non-damaging.
Not only does this maintain the health of your hair but also results in a full curtain coverage leaving no gaps.
You can expect application to take anywhere between 1.5-2 hours depending on how many rows are used. Included in every hair extension install appointment is a complimentary cut and blend of your new extensions to ensure you leave with seamless and beautiful hair that you can wear both straight and wavy.

How are they maintained?
Similar to other extensions, you will need tightening appointments every 6 to 8 weeks (dependant on how fast your hair grows/strength of natural hair).
At these appointments your stylist will remove the extensions, reapply the same extension hair and touch up your extension hair cut for blending.
Because no adhesives are used with volume wefts, you do not need to worry about specific products making your extensions slip and/or prematurely breaking down the tabs. Products with sulfates in them are highly discouraged from being used when extensions are applied due to drying out the hair and reducing the lifespan.

What is the hair lifespan?
Volume weft extension lifespan varies on multiple factors such as at home maintenance, following professional maintenance schedule, and using professional product lines.
On average volume wefts last up to 10 months before new hair is needing to be replaced. This is subjective to the wearer as some may replace sooner, or later depending on the wearer.

How long do they take to install?
Volume wefts take approximately 1 1.5- 2 hours to install. This method of extensions is a very niche market in DFW and are a special skill that requires multiple days of training and experience to achieve the proper and safe results.

Can they be worn in a ponytail?
If top knots, ponytails and certain hairstyles are important to you, volume wefts could be a good option as they are easy to conceal when wearing your hair up!
The attachment point of the weft is so discreet and undetectable due to no gaps that they are almost invisible when the wind blows.
If you are hiding a bad haircut, or chemical/heat damage around the face area, sometimes applying volume wefts are difficult to conceal these areas and you lack the coverage for high ponytails but they can still be pulled back off the shoulder.

How much do they cost?
Volume weft extensions are a completely customized approach and require a thorough consultation to determine the amount of rows needed, your length goal and the condition/type of natural hair you are starting with.
The thicker your natural hair the more hair you will need and rows are needed to blend your heavy weight line at the bottom.
The longer length you go in relation to your natural hair expect to need more than average wefts to avoid the dreaded "thin end/stringy" look.
If any customizations are required ombre, root melts or hand painted color this may increase the cost slightly.
Volume wefts start at $900
Color matching and customizations
Working with quality brands allows us to be able to custom fit your length and color; including ombre, balayage, rooted, marbled highlighted tones to ensure a perfect match rendering the extensions undetectable.
